Welcome to the ClickY service! By using the service, you agree to these terms. In short, we are committed to protecting your data, and we expect you to act responsibly when using the service.
We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We only collect data that is necessary to provide the service, such as the information you provide when you register, the content you create, and technical & device information (automatic data regarding your IP address, web browser, user interfaces, connection points, etc.). We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, except in connection with the use of embedded services, such as ImgBB image uploads, if you publish image files in your posts. Additionally, we may disclose confidential information from our sites if required by law.
You are responsible for all content you publish on the service. Remember that it is forbidden to publish illegal, threatening, or discriminatory content, to impersonate another person, or to harass others. While there is no age limit for the service, parents are responsible for supervising the online activities of minors.
You have the right to receive information about the data collected about you, and to request its correction or deletion. We only use cookies to ensure the functionality of the service, for example, to maintain your login. If you do not log in to the service using a separate incognito function, our system will automatically save all the texts you upload or write in your profile and community post fields to your browser's cookies. Post drafts saved in cookies are stored in an encrypted format, but our site is not responsible if any of your device's users manage to decrypt this data, so please clear your browser's cookies if necessary when you go offline. Please note that clearing the cache (e.g., deleting cookies) will also delete all post drafts, i.e., these processes saved in your browser's cache. Information you provide upon registration: Identification data: clickname (username), email address, your password (stored in a hashed format). Profile data: Gender, birth decade, profile picture (avatar), and cover photo. Location data: The location text you provide (e.g., province) and its geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude). 2. Content you create while using the Service: Posts: Texts, images, links, audio and video files, embedded HTML/JavaScript code (e.g., games), and hashtags associated with posts. Interaction: Your reactions (emojis) to other users' posts, comments, and messages. Community data: Your memberships in communities, your role in communities (member, administrator, owner), and your favorite communities. User relationships: Information about users you have marked as favorites or hidden. Profile customization: The decorative images and audio files (playlist) you upload to your profile page, as well as any custom CSS code to modify the site's appearance. Automatically collected technical data: Usage data: Information on your most recent activity (last_active) to ensure the functionality of the Service (e.g., showing "online" status). Cookie data: Cookies saved to your browser that, for example, allow for remembering your login and language selection. Device data: The server automatically collects basic information, such as your IP address and browser type, to ensure the technical maintenance and troubleshooting of the service. What do we use your data for? To provide the Service: For managing authentication, displaying your profile and posts, and enabling community functions. For implementing functionalities: Your location data is used for distance filters, and your activity data for showing "online" status. For communication: We may use your email address for account verification, password recovery, or important service announcements. For enhancing security: We monitor activity to prevent abuse and maintain the security of the Service. Disclosure of data to third parties We do not sell, exchange, or rent your personal data to third parties. However, data may be disclosed in the following cases: Embedded content: When you view content embedded in a post (e.g., a YouTube video), that service (e.g., Google) may collect data about you in accordance with its own privacy policies. Requests from authorities: We may disclose data to authorities if required by law. Data retention period We retain your personal data for as long as you have a user account on the Service. You can request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Data from a deleted account may be retained in backups for a limited time, but it will not be restored for active use. User responsibilities and obligations Age limit: The Service is available to all ages. Parents must supervise minors' use of the internet. Our site administration refrains from being responsible for the safety and well-being of minor users on our platform. Account security: You are responsible for the secure storage of your username and password, and for all activity that occurs on your account. Responsibility for content: You are solely responsible for all content (texts, images, links, code, etc.) you publish on the Service. Prohibited content and conduct The following is strictly prohibited in the Service: Publishing illegal, threatening, defamatory, hate-inciting, or discriminatory material. Harassing, bullying, or threatening other users. Impersonating another person. Distributing viruses, malware, or other malicious code. Despite the Service using sandbox protection for embedded code, uploading malicious content is prohibited. Sending spam or automatically exploiting the Service (e.g., malicious bots). User-Generated Content Rights: You retain all ownership rights to the content you create on the Service. License to the Service Provider: By posting content to the Service, you grant the Service Provider a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, format, and distribute your content solely in connection with the provision, maintenance, and development of the Service. This is necessary so that we can show your posts to other users. You do not lose any rights to the content you share; you only allow its visibility in our online service. File storage: The content you share on the online service is not saved in its full size, but some files are reduced in size so that the sites work more efficiently. The original files are deleted immediately, and thus neither the files nor exif data, etc., are available through us, not even by contacting us. If you wish, you can also upload images and other content to a completely optional external server and use the image links in your own posts. Our service recognizes properly formatted image links as images and automatically creates preview modals from them. Moderation: The Service Provider and community administrators have the right, but not the obligation, to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful. Community moderation Community owners and administrators have the right to moderate the content and members of their own community within the Service. They can delete posts, issue bans to members, or mute them within the community in accordance with these Terms and the community's own rules. If a community's moderation policy is illegal, or in your opinion causes significant harm, please contact the administration, law enforcement, a lawyer, and/or political activists. Termination of service The Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or delete harmful or otherwise disruptive user accounts without prior notice, especially if the user account has been used to violate these Terms. If necessary, we will consult with law enforcement regarding possible interventions in harmful activities and our capabilities to eradicate them and their side effects. The service provider is not responsible for any harm that may be caused by the prevention of access to the service. Upon termination of the Service, we reserve the right to delete files and content from our platform without warning. In the event of termination of the Service or a data deletion request, lost data/files/content cannot be recovered. If you delete your user account or your user account is deleted, all content will be lost and cannot be recovered. If your posts or other content are reported frequently, they may be hidden and eventually deleted. Before this happens, you can also download your data and content from the website as a JSON file, even if the content itself has already been hidden. JSON downloads are still possible even if your user account is being permanently deleted or hidden. In such cases, if you wish/need, please contact the administration, who will then perform the data download request process for you, which includes data from our database and server structures, and will deliver it to your specified email address. In the form of a one-time download link available at most once a week. The download will be in ZIP folder format to your device, and you are fully responsible for its storage, data security, and any possible device malfunctions. None of our files or links downloaded through us can be guaranteed to be free of viruses or malware, so please understand that you will be responsible for all possible harms or risks before you begin using the service.
The Service is provided "as is": we do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always available. You use the Service at your own risk. No responsibility for user content: The Service Provider is not responsible for content published by users, its correctness, or any damages caused by it. No responsibility for third-party links: The Service may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of these sites. Limitation of liability: The Service Provider's liability is in all cases limited to the regulations of Finnish law.
